Poll: Character Variation

DESCRIPTION

Hello folks! It's time once more for a community poll to gauge your opinions on matters pertaining to my work.

One common form of feedback I get is regarding character variation in my work. It is a conundrum generally difficult to solve by the constraints of time, resources, and the fact that popular characters are popular for a reason, so as a creator who depends on this work to put bread on the table you're invariably shooting yourself in the foot if you curtail their popularity too much as well.

My curiosity here pertains to just how prevalent the opinion about the importance of character variation is. It merits consideration that we today have exactly 200 characters in The Gallery. Scenarios tend to rotate between perhaps 10-15 of the most popular ones with the occasional upstart, and the Less Popular Ladies vote tries to get those without representation a shot at an animation on a monthly basis, which leaves a pretty big swath of ladies in the "middle" that seldom gets the spotlight. Comics, Wallpapers and my own Wednesday animation work has tried to alleviate that lack of representation somewhat, but I'm not sure whether that has been considered sufficient.

Changes to the schedule or my formats are currently not on the table, so this is just to gauge general opinion. So what do you folks think?
