Hello everyone and welcome to a longer progress report this time around. I've tried to chop it up in sections to make it easier to read so I hope I'm not just making things more confusing.-Comic/Project work:Comic work is coming along with Jack's entire chapter finally delineated. Script is in the works and getting resolved with scene builds underway. Lulu's physics work is still being worked on and remains elusive, but I'm getting places every Thursday when I headbutt it and have also found a tutorial to make the darn thing more modular depending on pose that I intend to look into in the future, so I am of the mind that things will work out. You know how it is at work no matter what you do - some days are better, some are worse, and you just have to roll with the punches.-Patreon interface changes:Some may have already noticed but I've finally given in and shifted to the "new" Patreon layout, this because I realized it allowed me to actually create temporarily featured posts (as opposed to just being allowed 1 pinned post before) so I'm making sure to have all relevant things at the top whenever you visit my page. On-going polls will thus be at the very top, with the FAQ/Gallery post below, and then the "most recent posts" below that. I think it makes for a better browsing experience, and also means no one has to deep-dive to find out what's currently going on, so it seems like a really nice setup for now.The FAQ post's gallery link and password have also been updated as of the 2nd of this month. My apologies for the 1 day delay, it was a hectic one.-Poll results:The most recent poll that ended was the character variation community poll, where a rough 1/3 of backers selected the option of wanting more character variation. No immediate regular schedule changes are under consideration for this matter, and while I recognize that a strong majority of backers are fine with the way things currently are, I've still been meaning to look into this matter, if anything to spice things up a bit. The Less Popular Ladies (LPL) vote does invariably inject variation given its nature, but it is as of this moment the only tool or function that does thusly. I've got a few things or ideas that I've come up with myself and also gotten from backers that are under consideration and which might shift things around a bit, where I'm very open to feedback (and where nothing, again, is set in stone):1: Opening up the LPL every second month to a wider span of characters (max 2 animations, for instance, before shifting back to 0 prior animations, every second month). This would reach some more "mid-tier" ladies that are kind of stuck in limbo between the LPL and the Scenario votes.2: Focusing my Wednesday work more towards ladies I feel are underrepresented. This is heavily considered, and the one thing I'm probably going to decide to just do on my own in this entire list, but it remains to be seen.3: More "themed" months. Right now we only have October (spooky month) that limits the character gallery to horror games, vampires etc. I wouldn't want to do this with literally every month, or even a majority of them, but one or two more months per year that limits the character gallery might be interesting to shake things up a bit. You best believe I'm considering turning November into "N7 Month" where only the Mass Effect ladies get to shine, but I'm thinking what else could be viable here. 4: A month per year where I just set my foot down and limit the gallery to my own preferences (call it "The DH Selection" to make it sound fancy and official) for the votes might also be a plan, but I'm not sure how well that would be received. I've been beating around the bush on this matter for quite some time as I don't like to play favorites, but I've gotten asked enough times what my personal gallery preferences would look like (or told to simply stick to them by backers who are under the impression that we share similar preferences), so for those curious I've thrown together a small gallery of my own that reflects gallery characters that I, in the immediate, are personally interested in (LINK). As you can see, or at least as I would argue, the community votes and the way they work do still enforce a larger character variation outside of my own, relatively narrow preferences, so this option is quite unlikely as things stand, since I don't feel it'd be fair to backers.Again, these points above are just considerations, nothing is set in stone, and so far "Spooky Month" in October is the only point where we diverge from the usual character gallery and its cooldowns and other limitations. Feedback is appreciated, as always.-Gallery changes:Hyuga Hinata (Naruto) - re-enters the gallery after model fixes.Grace Ashcroft (Resident Evil) - new entry.Trish (Devil May Cry) - new entry.Yuki Onna (Nioh 2) - new entry. The entire Mass Effect roster is also about to get a major update in the gallery, given Rigid3D's newest model pack release. I've got my work cut out for me in that sense, where I intend to go through all the ladies he's made, sculpt them for our purposes, outfit them, and update our current gallery entries with them. This owed to their significantly better performance, fidelity, clothing options, and so on - the latest Miranda face sculpt he's done for this release is genuinely great and more true to her in-game counterpart in my eyes, and there are a lot of amazing work on the other characters as well, so I'm looking forward to showing them off once I have them ready.-Dates of note:Less Popular Ladies vote underway, ending tomorrow Saturday: LINKScenario vote underway, ending next Thursday: LINK-Longer one this time, as I said! See, I can write with brevity when I need to! They said it couldn't be done, they said DH will rant no matter what, but here I am showing you what a longer one actually looks like!... but I digress, and hope I haven't forgotten anything! Thank you everyone, as always, for your support and kind words! This is a scheduled post from yesterday so I'm writing this at the end of my shift, which means it's high time to crawl off and eat something, preferably food. Hope you're doing well out there, all things considered, and please take care of yourselves, as well as each other!/DH
