Up next in the team, we have Weiss having a very uncomfortable talk with her reflection, brought to story by the highly talented DankSnake

A Little Child

The door to the bathroom went wide open, and a young, white-haired woman came through. She seemed to be panting, breathing fast, as if she had escaped a wild beast or was hiding from a killer. This woman was Weiss Schnee, heir to Schnee Industries and the youngest of the family.

Regaining her breath, she sloppily walked to the sink and stared at it...

"Why... Why can't he stop and leave me alone?!" Weiss screamed, grabbing her hair nervously and shaking her head around. "Leave me be! You've done enough!"

She remembered back when she was around 11 and was exploring the gardens of the mansion, careful not to fall off the edge (after all, it was floating several kilometres into the air). However, near the edge of the island, there was... Some sort of chest. Careful to not be spotted nor to fall, she dug it out of the ground and brought it to her room. Checking out the various books in her library, she couldn't find where it was from or who made it, this chest's design and symbology did not match any of Remnant's.

Then, young Weiss had the regrettable idea of busting the chest's rusted lock with a book and opening it. Inside of it, laid-

"AAAAA-"

She fell to the ground and backed into a wall; she just saw a face stare back at her! However, looking back at the chest, it was not an actual face, but a mask.

"Oh, silly me, being scared of this..." She said as she grabbed the mask and put it near her face. "Seriously, who could be scared of a maaAA-"

The mask seemed to suck her face in, but Weiss was quicker and pulled it off, staring at it with eyes wide as plates.

"...ask."

The wooden material of the mask emitted a strange green glow that filled the entire room. Allured, Weiss moved her head in to have a closer look... The light seemed comforting, relaxing, and all her worries slipped away the more she stared at it...

SCHHHHLAP!

When her soft face met the mask's backside, it adhered to her face with mighty strength, crushing her facial features and melting on her face.

"MMMM?!" Weiss yelped, grabbing the artefact's cheeks in an attempt to pull it off, but the more she tugged, the more painful it became.

Finally glued to her face, the mask wobbled and grew wooden flesh-like tendrils that slithered through her well-kept hair and met at the back of her head, tangling themselves up to ensure the seal on her petite head remained strong.

The holes of the mask crawled under Weiss' eyelids and lips respectively, becoming one with her and allowing her to finally blink and speak.

"Gggaaahhh... Get off me...!" she weakly screamed, grabbing the back of her head in pain.

What once used to be Weiss' head was now a giant mass of rubbery wood, with her ponytail still coming out of the possessive mass.

Strange forces filled her body from head to toe, feeling forcefully moved around until she stood up and spun extremely fast, transforming into a miniature green twister, thrashing her entire room.

After what felt like hours to the poor girl, the tornado subsided and a new figure stood in her room.

A tall, thin figure, wearing cyan heals with navy blue pants. On her torso, she wore a cyan blue top that left her belly exposed to the icy winds of Atlas, yet she did not seem to mind...

Yet, despite everything that had happened prior, something weirder was yet to be seen: the figure's entire head was encased in green, rubbery skin that hugged all her features and highlighted all the good ones. It was Weiss, but it did not seem like her at all... Brushing her long white mane, she confidently walked to her mirror to see her new self.

"My goodness, look-a me! I'm loving this new outfit!" She made a little spin to fully see it, and then caresses her face. "And the green's not bad either, it complements my hair~"

The new Weiss looked out of the window and smiled devilishly to the horizon, who knows what her head was scheming...

The next morning, Weiss woke up in a cold sweat and touched her face repeatedly. No weird texture, no wacky feelings, no... Green head. She exhaled, relieved.

"Thank the lord, it must've been a d- GAH-"

She jumped back, seeing the very mask that became her face last night state at her om the nightstand... It hit her.

"...oh no. OH NO! NONONO NO!" she stuttered, quickly getting up from her bed, grabbing the mask, stuffing it, and locking it back in the chest she got it from and put it under her bed. "You're NOT gonna cause me trouble, again, EVER."

Oh, how wrong she was...

Weeks later, when she had almost forgotten about the mask, she was practicing her summoning semblance abilities under her sister Winter's supervision. Weiss gracefully followed the steps and moves to activate her semblance, even impressing her sister.

"Good, keep at it," Winter said, looking down at her from a balcony.

‘C'mon Weiss,’ Weiss thought to herself, ‘you're almost there!’

And finally, placing her Rapier to the ground, the summoning circle was complete, and from it... Emerged a face Weiss was familiar with.

When she turned around to stare at her summon, she was met with it. That item.

"NononononoNONONONONO!" Weiss yelled, her voice echoing through the room.

"Weiss Schnee, what is happening?! Winter severely said, looking at her sister... She was grabbing her head and sloppily moving around. "...Weiss?"

"NOOO!"

With tumbling steps, the young woman grabbed the mask and ran out of the room, stuffing it back into its chest and closing herself in her room for hours...

After that day, she would struggle a lot when trying to activate her semblance, in fear it would come out...

Years passed, and Weiss met the people that would change her life Ruby Rose, Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long, her teammates in Beacon Academy, heck, even more people like Jaune, Nora, Ren and Pyrrha Nikos. Together, with her teammates, they faced many dangers and became the fearless team RWBY. Spending time with them, Weiss lost all fear she had, and with a bit of help from Winter when she visited Beacon one day... She was able to correctly use her semblance and summon something that would not haunt her dreams.

Unfortunately... Fate is cruel. Beacon was swarmed by malevolent forces and the entire academy fell to the hands of the Grimm, not to mention the psychotic Cinder stabbing her good friend Pyrrha, losing her forever... Due to how dangerous the situation was, Weiss was forced to come back to her home in Atlas.

And let's just say someone was waiting for her. The moment she places her feet back into the manor, his father just kept scolding her and ordering her around.

Every. Single. Second. He would just keep treating her like nothing, about how she never changed and how she wasn't behaving like the heir she is... and she HATED it. Being away at Beacon made her forget her father a lot and thus, her worries about it were non-existent. Now that she's back, however, he will keep bothering her.

And now, we're back to the beginning...

Tired and confused, Weiss looked at the mirror... She saw her reflection, her clothes, her hair, her green face... Wait, green face?!

"Well, well well, trying to run away from me?"

Weiss backed away as she did all the previous times when seeing it... Seeing her...

"Y-You're here? B-But... How-"

"I'm a reflection, dumdum." Her masked self said, knocking at the mirror in front of her. "See?"

"What do you want from me?!" Weiss said, slamming her fist onto the sink.

"For you to change, look at yourself!" Mask Weiss said, pointing at her clothes, "You haven't changed at all!"

Weiss grit her teeth in anger and replied:

"YES! Yes, I did! And I became much better!"

The green-headed reflection put a hand on her chin and made a false laugh.

"Ha, ha, oh really? Then tell me... Where is that big, strong Schnee that's not scared of anything and takes on everything that comes in her path? Where is she now?"

"I... Uhh..." Weiss looked down, she did have a point.

"Admit it. You're not just here because of me, you're also here because of HIM. That bastard father of yours. And like always, every time he tells you anything you run in the bathroom to HIDE!"

She looked away, her mouth getting wobbly.

"How long until he makes you curse for Blake's name again, huh? All this talk you say about self-growth or whatever, but you're still that same little girl your father keeps calling you... That little girl that left me in the dark! ME! Your TRUE feelings!"

An uncomfortable silence filled the room... Then, sobs came from Weiss. She broke down into tears, which fell to the ground and formed a small puddle.

"You're right... I'm still that little girl... I haven't changed a DAMN inch..." she said, wiping away her tears ceaselessly.

Her masked self watched her cry, thinking... And then, it had a solution.

"You know... I can arrange that. I can help you."

She looked back at the mirror.

"H-How?"

With a smirk, Mask Weiss climbed on the sink.

"Like this~"

Her reflection presses her hands against the mirror, phasing through it and grabbing Weiss, pulling her inside of the mirror.

"AAAAA-"

Then, a raging yet small twister phased out of the mirror and stopped in front of it... Mask Weiss was back!

"Ah, it feels good to be here after... What? 7 years? Eh, who keeps the count anyways."

Making a little twirl, she stared at the mirror, where the normal Weiss stared back at her.

"I-I don't feel anything new..."

Mask Weiss giggled and snapped her fingers... Weiss' reflection vanished for a moment and came back, but the outfit was different, and she was seemingly taller... She had grown!

"How ya feel?" the green-faced woman asked, eagerly awaiting her answer.

"God, I feel... I feel great! I feel new! Like I can finally stand up to that damned bastard!" Weiss confidently said through the mirror. "Thank you, I... I'm sorry for neglecting you for a long time."

"Pfff, 'tis fine." She said, making a "don't mind it" gesture with her hand. "What matters is that you changed and grew, proud of ya."

"Thanks!" she looked around. "Could you let me out, please?"

Mask Weiss gave a loud chuckle.

"HAHAHAHAHA! Oh man, did you think this little therapy session was free? Hell no!" she said, wiping off a tear. "I haven't been out in SO LONG, I gotta take my chances! Don't worry though, I'll let you out in the morning!"

"W-Wait!"

Weiss' normal reflection vanished, now showing the masked Weiss' actual reflection. She caressed and pinched her cheek.

"Missed this feeling... Welp, Its time for to go and explore! Lessee what I can do!"

With a loud zip, she dashed lightning-fast out of the manor and down to Atlas, to do God knows what...
