Here's a walkthrough of the first proof of No North Book 1 - The Northless Compass!
It was very exciting to get it in the mail!
The size of the book is deliciously perfect! The cover colors look so amazing, and I love the offset texture of the paper (and the paper's thickness!)
It's a BIG book! And you can feel the weight, which is soooo cool!
However, some of the colors still appear washed out, and the interaction between blue/black is far from ideal. So it's back to the drawing board, in a way!
I'm sorry this is taking too long. It's a long and delicate process that requires numerous adjustments and back-and-forths, especially when working with a new printing and fulfillment method. It's all new territory for your old Skailla here!
