Hey everyone!
Ever since 2023, the consistently most popular request whenever I open a new fanart poll is for new breeder content
It was a series of animations I had going for a long time with a pokemon breeder oc being passed around several monsters from the series, but eventually after doing the same thing for so long things started feeling same-y and I decided to take a break from doing it
Ever since then we also started everything getting pretty puritanical, to the point that human x furry content became a bannable offence that sends you to super hell if you dare touch it, which also contributed me to not going back to the breeder series
And this is why today I'm announcing the series is being officially completely rebooted! (you could also call it a spiritual successor)
Here's how its gonna go down, so no one is surprised:
The new main character is now Grant! He's a 30-something bear beastman working on his phd on Fictional Monster Reproduction. He has terrible sense of direction which usually ends up making him wonder into other universes and leads to him meeting all the monsters that reside there
Everyone is anthro, all the monsters are in 2 legs and they can speak and everyone is consenting to everything. This rule doesnt really change anything compared to my usual content, Im mostly listing it here so I dont get people complaining about me anthrofying like an arcanine or something for one of the animations
The series is called "Monster Breeder" now! It takes place in my own universe which then has crossovers with pre-established IPs. This means that other monsters from other series can show up if I ever want to feature them, Im not stuck to just pokemen over and over again
I want content variety. Normal animations like the ones I usually make will keep coming out, but there are lots of things I wanted to explore instead of having the series be all in the same format. I want to give another go at the sidescroller look the very first breeder animations had back in the day, I want some of them to have a bit more text and narration, I want to try longer ones that I can chip at in the background for several weeks, I want to make some of them into little playable animations in the GBC or on pc. Theres a whole lot of skills I've developed over the years that I can test drive here and see how they turn out
Whew I think that's all I wanted to write for now
Do let me know if you have any thoughts on how to improve on this idea! I want the series to continue more into the long term if possible, so Im completely open to tweaking thing as we go along
It might take a second for the series to actually start coming out now since I just started getting the details and character design down. At the moment this is being written Im still working on finishing my comic and on the movie Im part of with Bewere, so Im slowly chipping away at it when I have some downtime
