"Mortality is so dreadfully messy," she purred, watching her servants attending to her needs.
Once settled as pot mummies, bandaged and ornated with jewels, they looked truly celestial. Their organs were safely tucked into jeweled urns, leaving what's left of their bodies as small, beautiful vessels for eternity. They weren't just sisters anymore; they were icons, frozen in a state of perpetual, haughty glamour.
