My illustration for Texas Furry Siesta's sponsor print, as part of my stint as their artist guest of honor this year! You may recognize some of the characters from the badges I already whipped up, as well as some of the other guests of honor (and an eerily familiar horse...)!
With the con being "Pride" themed and located in Dallas, my brain instantly went to gay rodeo, the IGRA, and some of the characters, scenes, and settings you can find there! I love that rare intersection of queer culture and rural tradition, and wanted to throw a spotlight on it and celebrate it ^_^
The convention has also been kind enough to allow me to take the reins on the printing process! My current plan is to rent out some studio time with my local risograph printers, and go big with it! Four colors (yellow, fluorescent pink, aqua, and magenta) should get me the rainbow I'm looking for, and I'll be utilizing their two drum printer to hopefully make the whole process smoother and more efficient. In any case, the prints should shine in that special way only risograph prints can. :)
Being that this is an exclusive print for sponsors of the convention, this image doesn't leave the Patreon. I'll check in with convention staff to see if any additional prints can be made and sold after the con's over, but until then, no funny business please!
