Won't somebody save him?

Continuing my lil Western kick with a proper destined-to-become-a-print of Casper, a sort of masculine counterpart to Constance's Extract.

It might be a little overambitious of me, but I really wanted to take a stab at rendering this like a early 20th century American Western painting, particularly a'la the works of Adam Styka.

Love how he uses pastels in his backgrounds to convey atmospheric perspective, and I'll definitely be taking a lot of pointers from his work for this piece, whatever it ends up lookin like. :)
