Hey everybody!

I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays and offer you a gift for the holiday season...

...the completed Dragonlance Companions artwork that I'd commissioned Sara Pregel to create for me.

This all began, when I was looking for some Sprites to include with the Dragonlance location of Solace, and so we decided to do a version of the dwarf, Flint Fireforge, by Sara Pregel. I enjoyed Sara's version so much, that I thought it would be great to work our way through the main companions and create a little montage of them together.

As many of the fans know, only a few of them ever tend to be pictured together on the book covers or other official Dragonlance artwork. I thought it would be cool to have all of them together (Tika included) for a group shot we don't normally get to see.

For those of you that are unfamiliar with the books, this group represents a group of friends/companions with a similar crossroads in their past. They come together under dark times, where a series of events launches them on an adventure that has thrilled millions of avid readers over the course of decades.

Flint Fireforge

Flint Fireforge is a gruff but lovable old hill dwarf who found a home in the village of Solace as a master metalsmith and woodworker for many years. He is a fiercely loyal friend (especially to Tanis Half-Elven) known for his curmudgeonly exterior hiding a big heart. He acts as a paternal figure for many of his companions, while grumbling about getting "too old for this".

Tanis Half-Elven

Tanis Half-Elven is the conflicted, brooding leader of the Companions. He is a hero torn between his human and elven heritage that often feels he belongs to neither world, fueling his self-doubt and romantic indecision. He's a skilled ranger and fighter known for his red beard, green eyes and leather armor who carries the weight of his birth and serves as a relatable symbol of the outsider.

Sturm Brightblade

Sturm Brightblade is the quintessential honorable knight dedicated to the strict codes of the disgraced Knights of Solamnia. Wielding his ancestor's sword and armor, he is known for his unwavering sense of duty, stoic sensibilities and serious nature. A talented warrior, his conflicted nature paint him as a sympathetic character who ultimately seeks to restore honor to his family and to the Knight's honor.

Tasslehoff Burrfoot

Tasslehoff Burrfoot ("Tas") is a cheerful Kender famous for "borrowing" things, getting into trouble, and unintentionally becoming a hero by sticking his nose (and pouches) into everything. With his trusty hoopak staff and collection of trinkets, he proves that even the smallest of people can change the course of history. He is fearless, endlessly curious, afflicted with wanderlust and has a complete disregard for personal property.

Caramon Majere

Caramon Majere the massive, strong, and jovial warrior twin of the mage, Raistlin. Known for his immense physical power, loyalty and role as his brother's protector, Caramon often appears simple, but possesses a deep and thoughtful nature. He is the "big guy" with a heart of gold who wrestles with his own self-worth along with the dark path of his brother.

Raistlin Majere

Raistlin Majere is a frail, sarcastic, and deeply ambitious human mage known for his immense magical talent. He is characterized by golden skin, white hair and hourglass eyes, a byproduct of his grueling Test of High Sorcery. He holds an obsessions for power that transcends almost everything else in life, including the bonds of family and friendship.

Tika Waylan

Tika Waylan is the spunky, red-haired barmaid from Solace's Inn of the Last Home. She is known for her bravery, loyalty, and signature frying pan, who grows from a spirited orphan into a courageous hero, joining the Companions during the War of the Lance. She's a strong and practical figure who embodies resilience and heart, proving herself as capable with a sword as with a pan.

Goldmoon

Goldmoon is a compassionate Que-Shu barbarian princess known as the first cleric of Mishakal in centuries. She wields the powerful Blue Crystal Staff that grants healing magic, helping to restore faith in the gods after the Cataclysm alongside her love, Riverwind, and the companions, becoming a pivotal, transformative figure representing hope and renewed faith.

Riverwind

Riverwind is a strong, stoic plainsman from the Qué-Shu tribe. He is the loyal protector and devoted lover to Goldmoon, who proves his worth by undertaking a perilous quest for the true gods, eventually finding the Blue Crystal Staff and becoming a chieftain, embodying selfless love and courage despite inner struggles with self-worth.

I hope you all enjoy the artwork and the walk down memory lane (if you read the Dragonlance series), and I hope you ALL have a very Happy Holidays!

Best,

Jeff @ Morvold
