I'm excited to provide you with another fun Morvold Scene for you to insert into your campaigns and adventures -- the War Council Chamber!
What is a Morvold Scene?
Sometimes the party wants to travel to a specific location (i.e. merchant, town council, mage tower, barracks, tavern, etc...), but you don't really need a map. There's no combat encounter and while it would be immersive to walk around the map, sometimes that can be a distraction to simply having the conversation, HOWEVER, you would like to be able to have a setting presented to your players so they can see where they are, the person they're speaking with and have SOME level of immersion.
The common trait behind the Morvold Scenes will be a design that favors being able to place an NPC portrait/token somewhere that masks the lower half, allowing them to seem as if they are present in the location without being a strange, floating head.
This scene is the War Council Chamber, which would come as a simple JPG image upon which you could overlay any NPC token(s) you wished. This particular scene would be great for social interactions your party has at court:
Meeting with members of the Royal Family.
Meeting with nobles assigned to govern a keep, castle or set of lands.
Meeting with a city council to decide how best to proceed with your narrative.
