Hey guys!

This is it - the FINAL showdown from the module, Rise of Tiamat/Tyranny of Dragons that pits the players against the red wizards of Thay as they attempt to open a portal to hell and bring the Dragon Queen back into the world.

We have an awesome illustrated scene, by Ha Art, to help set the stage as the red wizards attempt to channel their magic and open a portal to hell:

The temple pairs with one of last month's maps, the Well of Dragons, and completes that encounter, providing the temple interior for the PC's to have their epic final battle. Many DM's were confused about the layout of this location, and I will try and help explain how it works below for those of you choosing to run it with the module, or simply on your own.

The Map consists of [3] levels, the base level of the Temple (this is the only ground-based level) and then [2] additional levels represented by transparent PNG tiles as airspace above that ground level. There are no stairs, ladders or other ways to access these additional levels besides scaling the massive walls and/or flying.

In the module, the temple is described as largely a large empty cathedral dedicated to Tiamat with chambers representing her five chromatic components, which seemed a little boring, so I took some creative liberties and dressed those chambers in accordance with their representative chromatic flavors:

My idea behind the various chambers would be that you could use them simply as flavor, or as mechanical challenges during the fight with players either being thrown into those rooms, or perhaps "teleported" into those rooms, if one of Tiamat's not-quite-in-this-plane heads swallows a player.

The 2nd Level represents airspace above all [5] chambers, which can be placed over the existing map to be able to show what lay below, as well:

The 3rd Level is only above the central cathedral:

There are no gridded versions of this map, mostly because the size makes it quite improbable to print for in-person gameplay, and it will most readily exist within a VTT environment, which allows you to draw arbitrary grid sizes.

As usual, we have a great sprite of Tiamat herself, by Katsudon Art.

HOW DO I USE THIS MAP?

Whether you are using the map in accordance with the Rise of Tiamat or Tyranny of Dragons modules, or you simply want a temple and lair for a multi-headed chromatic dragon goddess in your own world, this map would be a great final showdown for your players. It covers a fairly massive, open area allowing for a lot of movement, and the adjoining chambers potentially provide places to hide and/or additional challenges.

I hope you enjoy the setting and can use it to create some great adventures!
