I am happy to bring you Entry #6 of the Monster Hunter Journal -- the Troll!
One of the oldest and most prevalent creatures in D&D and mythology around the world is the swamp and mountain-dwelling troll. Known for their regenerative powers and aversion to flame, trolls are known to inhabit everything from soggy swamps to misty mountains, waylaying travelers and dragging them to their caves for dinner. It most game worlds, the trolls are large natural creatures that are difficult to harm due to their tough hide, regenerative capabilities and taste for human flesh.
Its combination of raw strength and feral cunning makes it a formidable threat, especially when encountered in its lair. Lingering below bridges or sheltered in caves, their long limbs and yellow eyes strike fear into the hearts of low-level adventurers around the world.
