My dearest patrons — another year is coming to an end. How did that happen so fast?
black & blue has now been around for six years, and sometimes I honestly can’t believe how many books have grown out of it already.
That said: Volume 7 (and the ones after it) will come a bit later than before. If everything works out, the next release will be summer, at AnimagiC (fingers crossed I’ll get a table 🙈).
The reason is simple: in 2025 I finally admitted to myself that the yearly release cycle is stressing me out — a lot. Too much falls by the wayside: illustrations I want to draw, my private life (SPORT? :,D), side projects like Hands Off!, and even the time and energy to properly promote my work. I keep working nonstop, but without breathing room it often feels like nothing truly grows. 😭
And there’s one more thing I can’t ignore anymore: my right hand. Stiff, painful, harder and harder to control. That’s not sustainable.
So from now on, new books will release every 1.5 years instead of yearly — and they’ll be a bit thicker (around 20 extra pages). I truly believe this is the healthier, better solution going forward.
What’s coming in 2026?
BDSM will finally take center stage in black & blue. XD I’ve been saying this for years, but plot-wise it took longer than expected. Now it’s really happening — starting in January. This is honestly the perfect time to become a patron, because many of these scenes can’t be shown (or only heavily censored) on Webtoon or Tapas. To make joining sweeter, there’s a discount on the first month until January 4th. My goal remains the same: more understanding and acceptance for misunderstood kinks — and good storytelling.
There will still be a book for Leipzig Book Fair: a Yaoi artbook featuring many Patreon-exclusive illustrations. Player, Keeper, and Patron Saint tiers will receive it as a physical reward. 💫🔥 Most likely as a hardcover, as many of you wished.
The next updates will take a few more days — I underestimated how little gets done during the holidays 🙈 — but once the new year starts, it’s full speed ahead again!

Meine liebsten Patrons — wieder geht ein Jahr zu Ende. Wahnsinn, wie schnell die Zeit vergeht!
black & blue gibt es nun schon sechs Jahre, und manchmal kann ich selbst kaum glauben, wie viele Bücher daraus entstanden sind.
Band 7 (und alle folgenden) werden künftig etwas später erscheinen. Wenn alles klappt, kommt der nächste Band im Sommer zur AnimagiC (drückt mir die Daumen 🙈).
Der Grund ist ehrlich gesagt simpel: Ich habe 2025 gemerkt, wie sehr mich der jährliche Veröffentlichungsrhythmus stresst. Zu vieles bleibt liegen — Illustrationen, mein Privatleben (SPORT? :,D), Nebenprojekte wie Hands Off! und sogar die Zeit, meine Arbeit überhaupt zu bewerben. Ich arbeite nonstop, aber ohne Luft fühlt es sich oft an, als würde nichts wirklich wachsen. 😭
Dazu kommt etwas, das ich ernst nehmen muss: meine rechte Hand. Steif, schmerzhaft, schwerer zu kontrollieren. So kann das nicht weitergehen. 💀
Deshalb erscheinen neue Bücher künftig alle 1,5 Jahre statt jährlich — dafür etwas dicker (ca. 20 Seiten mehr). Ich glaub, das ist die bessere Lösung insgesamt.
Was passiert 2026?
Endlich rückt BDSM wirklich ins Zentrum von black & blue. XD Ich sage das seit Jahren, aber jetzt ist es so weit — der Einstieg beginnt bereits im Januar. Gerade jetzt lohnt es sich, Patron zu werden, denn viele dieser Szenen kann ich auf Webtoon oder Tapas gar nicht oder nur stark zensiert zeigen. Bis 4. Januar gibt es deshalb einen Rabatt auf den ersten Monat eurer Mitgliedschaft. Mein Ziel bleibt: mehr Verständnis für oft missverstandene Kinks — und gute Unterhaltung.
