Hey there everyone!
At the start of this new year, I decided it was finally time for me to rework my Patreon tiers. Ideas in polls would often clash, or something NSFW didn't fit as well as I thought. I would struggle to come up with a vision worth putting to pen when the time came. Some tiers were simply outdated. I would frequently need to ask folks for assistance with coming up with a common theme as well. It's been a mess.
So, with a new month ahead, I have decided to streamline many of the tiers offered, update what to offer and such to you guys!
"What will you be changing?"
Patrons in the 'Snack' tier will have access to all of my important news, but will otherwise function as a sort of 'Love your work, thank you' tip jar. 'Salad' tier on up will have access to my Patreon feed, and artwork. Both the Regular AND VIP polls will be condensed into a singular poll every month. Changes to the poll include:
- Polls will now be a vote from 3 characters, down from 4 - Voting will now also include the scenario
It'll look something like this:
This allows me to share my thoughts on what I would like to see for the characters. Also, it provides you folks a chance to mentally visualize what I'm brewing up!
"So what do I get if you're subtracting a poll?"
Simply put: Voting Power. Each tier now has a weighted vote based on their tier, with the higher tiers counting for slightly more than the tiers below. ('Salad' 1x, 'Sandwich' 2x, 'Steak' 3x, etc etc)Each vote will still show up as a single vote in the polling frame, but I am able to weight those based on the tiers of the voters.
Otherwise, everything else will stay just as it is! The $5 'Salad' tier will still see ALL early access, WIPs, and finished art pieces. 'Steak' and 'Prime Rib' tiers will still get their sketches every month.
"Wait, what about Discord then?"
Discord is currently the most unstable part of all this, I will admit. With Discord considering adding a (questionable) third-party app to verify age info, it's hard to consider staying. Right now, they have postponed that process for at least 6 months. So for now, I will continue hosting that Discord server until something changes. If their plan drops entirely, cool. We just continue to enjoy the server. If Discord goes "thunk", we'll think of something else. Will keep you posted as the year go on, though!
