Perfect Girlfriend [v.0.5]: Patreon Edition
Good evenyan, folks!
As I stated in the previous post, I've had my hands full, as purr usual. I might be jinxing myself every time I set release dates on things, so if nothing else, I'll try to be more generous with my estimates. =w=;;
Now that I'm moved into my new apartment and back to working on my projects full time (after having spent half this year at a side-job), I can finally start making progress on things at a nice clip again-- especially with so many almost-finished works/batches of content, available for me to polish and push out the door, and so many talented creators working alongside me now, like Gerrark, Hepta, Kint, Cashmere, and a delightful, potential new musician!
With January slowly coming up, I feel a little bit frustrated that I won't be able to fulfil all of my promises that I made last year-- but I'm also really happy with how far everything is coming along! I feel extremely comfortable with the new artists I've found, as well as the new writers currently developing Mace and such. I'm ecstatic that Flores is in the game now, and that we'll be able to enter the third and final act of the project's development at some point during the year to come, as well as developing/releasing everything I've promised so far!
Even though many of my projects weren't finished this year, I feel like it established an extremely strong foundation for the year to come. The Cat You'll Never Forget hadn't even existed last year, and now it'll be infinitely easier to develop Perfect Girlfriend, finish the catboy adventurer VN I've mentioned on-and-off a few times... what's more, I'm in an excellent living situation with strong support networks, which makes the entire development process a lot easier to manage.
That being said-- I won't be announcing any additional projects at this time. Our docket's already full! I need to finish my plate before I pile on anything else, and that means sticking to what I've already promised.
Despite how long I took to put this update out, and how much fun I had implementing these mechanics and writing everything new, I still feel it's a little rushed in areas. There was more and more I wanted to do, for BOTH of the new major encounter's routes, but sadly my time was heavily restricted by circumstance (and working a day job) to fully devote myself like I want.
All the same! I hope everyone enjoys, and looks forward to what comes next: the second half of Julian's dating content, a full sweep of fixes/adjustments/new features, a trailer (courtesy of DreddyHypno!), and, of course: Mace!
And I seriously can't thank you enough for your support this time, given all of the delays. For everyone who stuck with me during this year and continues to support me in spite of the trouble, genuinely, thank you. I really don't know where I'd be without you. Until next time, meow! 🧡
PATCH NOTES:
• New encounter for accompanying Citrine: you can get rented out in town!
• You may choose to be rented out to either an arrogant donkey man or a strict wolf brothel-owner! (CW: the donkey's scenes involve alcohol usage.)
• New mechanic: Composure! This is meant to serve the same purpose as Submission serves in Perfect Home, affecting how the main character behaves in certain scenes. This still needs to be represented in other scenes throughout both games, and currently only impacts the renting encounter.
• You may now spend time being voluntarily visor-trained in the basement, exchanging +1 Master's Approval for -1 Composure.
• Deepwood Tea can now be purchased, which can be used to increase Composure.
• Added new art to the maid cafe encounter and punishment scenes.
• Several bug fixes have been introduced-- though due to time constraints, I expect there will be a few more in this update that I haven't anticipated or double-checked.
