Hello everyone!
Despite having almost no electricity, this week turned out to be surprisingly productive. On average, I get power for about 4 hours a day, sometimes more if I’m lucky. But it’s not on any reliable schedule, so planning is basically impossible. Whenever it’s on, I try to render as much as I can… even if it sometimes comes at the cost of quality. Can’t really do much about that.
I’m almost done reworking the intro animations. Just one more animation to redo and four to render. I’m starting to worry whether I’ll make the deadline for submitting the demo to the Steam Next Fest. Worst case, I’ll burn gasoline for days to get it finished on time.😄
Besides that, I’ve been polishing dialogues in previous chapters. The English wasn’t perfect there, so I’m going through everything and improving it. Speaking of dialogues: my long-dormant creative writer finally woke up. In just a couple of days, I wrote three full scenes for Chapter 7. Lately, inspiration has been hard to come by(no wonder), so catching that creative flow again felt like a breath of fresh air. And in a way, the absence of energy here even played a positive role, because in the cozy, dim light, nothing better than writing comes to mind. You just have nothing else to do, lol.
I’ve also finished planning the entire final chapter and made lots of scene sketches based on the script I already wrote. Of course, changes will still happen during development, that’s normal. But the core scenes and overall story are locked in. Damn, this chapter is going to be intense. Honestly, it was tough finding room for lewd scenes in it.😄
I’m also trying to wrap up adapting the old scripts for translations soon. I’d like to start actual translation work before winter ends, since it’s a very time-consuming process. Especially as I want to localize into as many languages as possible.
That’s pretty much it for now. Just wanted to say that even in this rough situation, I’m not giving up, and work is still going strong.
