Hello everyone!
The last two weeks have been quite productive. First of all, I decided to add another alternative lewd scene and have been actively working on it the whole time. In the end, the scene I was even unsure about including now has two versions. I think I’ll finish it next week and finally move on to the next story scenes. On a positive note, I’ve been taking the animations much more seriously this time. Almost every animation will have two different camera angles now. With some exceptions. Because of that, my PC has been rendering nonstop for the past two months. It’s good that the beginning of summer wasn’t too hot, since the PC heats up the whole room where I work and sleep.
Secondly, I’ve finally made some real progress with the translations. The Ukrainian version is now fully translated. I worked on it first because I can do various tests and actually evaluate the quality and compare different AI models and workflows. I think I’ve found a good workflow that I can apply to the other languages as well. I spent over a month preparing this. The Ukrainian translation was partially done by a human translator earlier (though I had to manually transfer everything due to changes in the new code), and only the second half of the game was translated with AI. I’ll try to do some manual proofreading myself, but I’ll mostly be relying on volunteers. I’ve also almost finished the German translation. Once I complete everything and double-check that it’s working properly, I’ll move on to all the other planned languages. I’m feeling pretty optimistic and hope that by the end of the month, all translations will be ready. Starting next month, we can begin public proofreading and editing. As I mentioned before, I plan to use Google Sheets for this instead of expensive specialized platforms. It’s not the most convenient solution, but it’s a reasonable compromise. I don't want to spend thousands of dollars on professional tools.
Overall, as you can see, work is moving forward. Even though summer has started and I really want to just lie by the pool and drink cocktails, I’m still working every day without days off. But don’t worry, that doesn’t mean I’m not resting at all. I'll have a proper holiday when I finally release the book one.
Next week I’ll try to finish the lewd scene, work on new wallpapers and special renders, finish the German translation, and move on to the next language.
