DESCRIPTION

Hi, guys. I have some updates for you and a few side things to mention, but first, a quick explanation. So, my kids are growing up (thankfully), and their elementary school had no one slated to do the yearbook this year (it's a small school with primarily lower-income families, so there really aren't a whole lot of volunteers to do these things). Anyway, print designer that I was (I know... despite this game's horrible UI, I was a designer...), I decided that I should do it, or else risk that we'd literally have no yearbook this year. So, that was hell. But it was finished on Tuesday, so I'm finally back to doing the game.

So, the game. This version is 99% finished. Currently we're testing on Release Candidate 4. As it stands right now, I have the distinct feeling that my testing team simply isn't going to find literally all of the bugs and issues that will appear with an entire rewrite of the event progression logic, so I'm going to let it sit with them for a few days, test it myself over the weekend, and then release it on Monday (assuming there aren't any huge game-breaking problems found in that time). So, you guys can reasonably expect a new version of Rewind on April 28th. This version will be very strange until your first rebirth, since you'll start your save with no affection, but all sorts of sex stats active... so... yeah. Just plan to off yourself when you load it up.

Finally, on a slightly different note, as I waited for photographs to come from Kindergarten, I played around with some AI generation stuff and decided to try my hand at making a character LORA of Lani. It's not ready for primetime or anything, but it can make some neat stuff (the following are all generations from a few different NoobAI checkpoints... yes I know she has too many fingers... I never trained her hands and I have no idea if it would fix it anyway).

Anyway, It's not perfect. These images are cherry-picked, and it tends to literally turn everything into Lani... any other face in the image will also be Lani (sometimes with a reversed color hair, which is sort of cool... like an anti-Lani looking over Lani's shoulder). I trained it on some images made specifically to train the AI (headshots and angles that aren't in the game), but mostly on existing game images, and I'm most certainly not a master at this stuff. That said, it can actually spit out some fun stuff. I'm thinking about posting the safetensor files up when it's finished and making it a value bonus for higher tiers of Patreon. Let me know how you guys feel about this sort of thing (I don't intend to use it for game production, this was just a little project to keep me sane while I was making a yearbook)... I mean, in this instance, it is technically my character trained on my images, but the model itself still falls into that AI gray area of copyright ownership, so I understand that some people are very dubious.
