DESCRIPTION

Because you may faint.

Renders are done. Writing is done. Coding is done. Testing is almost done.

I've got a list of existing issues that the beta testers have brought to my attention (which I will be working through for the rest of the day), and then I'm going to wrap up what I have and call it a Release Candidate. Whenever I give a date for a thing, that date laughs at me as it flies past, so I'm not going to say that it may be released as early as next week.

Discord:That said, there are less fun things that need to be brought up. Many of you are aware that Discord is the primary means I use to communicate with this community... I'm just sucky at making these Patreon posts (and Itch.io gets even less attention). Normally, that is not truly a problem, other than the obvious 'why aren't you also communicating other places' line of reasoning. However, Discord is making movements towards some intrusive age verification policies (they've since walked back much of the more draconian bits, but since we are an adult entertainment community, we do still face that added scrutiny). I don't want to get into the feels of it, but a lot of people don't want to give their face to a company to use and lose as it sees fit, and I think that's a perfectly reasonable opinion. We are looking into alternative methods of community involvement (the Wife has wanted me to make a wiki for years, and there are certainly some alternative providers for chat), but we don't have any real plans in place right now. I just wanted to let all of you know that I'm committed to making the community around Rewind a safe and welcoming space, and if Discord can no longer provide that, then we'll move, bridge, or diversify.

Itch.io Full Version:I've been mentioning this off and on for a long while, but the next premium version will mark the launch of a full-price paid version of the game on Itch.io (ideally, we'd also launch on Steam, but I don't want to even get into my fears around that... the whole 'you get one try and you better not be rejected' thing... man...). The full retail price will be $25, but there will be a launch discount of 20%, and Patrons will be receiving coupon codes equivalent to their tier amount. People who have only supported on Itch.io will also be getting coupon codes equal to their supported amount, so... will new people buy it? Will it actually raise any money? I have no idea! Anyway, this is equivalent to purchasing an early access game on Steam: all further updates will be included and unless I die in a horrible traffic accident, you'll eventually own the final version of the game without ever needing to do anything else.

Oh, this doesn't change the release timelines, by the way. The release schedule will still be $10+ Patrons first, then $5 Patrons, then Itch, with five days between each.

That's actually all I have right now. I'm gonna get back to debugging and stuff.
