Mercy - Road to 3.0 - River (Image) & Model Early Access! (Beta)
DESCRIPTION

Hey hey! Been... well a month 😅At the start of January I began toying with the idea of what it would take to finally update my models to begin using a new base body with better proportions and shape. Along with that, I finally took the time to take a serious look at other armature options (Currently, all models are on rigify.)Long story short, what was supposed to be dipping my toe in whilst waiting for a render, ended in a month long revamp experiment which produced an entirely new, rebuilt from the ground up Ultimate model foundation. If you can think of it, its brand new. New body, new rig, new shapekeys, new materials -- even the outfit meshes are new. Everything is rebuilt ground up to be the accumilation of everything I've learned whilst making models. Thats where you (hopefully) come in! I've already given it out to a few artist friends and gotten some valuable feedback, but now I'm hoping expanding it out to you can help finish knocking off the rough edges and add any other features that would be helpful or nice to have. These phase is extremely imporant to me, before I start migrating everything (this will take like 1-2 weeks straight per hero, and thats the optimistic estimation) I wanna make sure everything is up to scratch and anything that would be useful is added. So with that ramble fest done...Enjoy the still!and of course,Test the model here!^^ ^^ ^^

Known Issues:- Hinge joints (Elbows/Knees) are lacking. Im looking at using a more robust solution. NYI)- Masks and Outfits are not automated. You must toggle them on manually until I hook it into the script. A lot needs to change for that, so its waiting for the rig itself to be finalized.Additonally, if you're not sure on what to give feedback on, here is a list of questions I made prior:

General:

Weights:

Do the weights of the Base body and outfits feel right? Any big issues or minor complaints? (Hips/Shoulders maybe?)

Sculpting:

Does the general body shape and proportions feel okay? All the detailing and shape flow nicely? Im still a bit uncertain on the breasts.

I'm fuggin clueless when it comes to feet, but have tried my best to make them nice based on some references and a bit or research. If this is your kinda thing, how do you feel about them? Anything some shapekeys or little tweaks could improve?

Shapekeys:

Adding more shapekeys is another slightly less major focus of the overhaul. Do you like the selection, do you feel any are missing or redundant? I've nearly made my mind up to remove most of the full body ones, minus the thicc and pregananinant ones, they break too easily on the stylized bodies of overwatch.

Do you think a simple ui update to list the shapekeys in collapsible categories based on their current sorting method (the named shapekeys with --- or --) would be sufficient to make them easy to use?Rigging:

IK Bones:

Are the ik bones useful on the fingers and toes?

Actions:

Do you like the actions on the fingers/toe? Are the smooth, useful and/or intuitive enough? Do you find they break too easily, or are missing any features?

Does the Wing controller feel nice to use?

Does the Face controller feel nice to use?

Bones:

Do the bone shapes make sense? Not too cluttered, not hard to tell what you're clicking on? Do the colours help? Should anything have a different colour?

How do the genitalia bones feel? (Note on shrinkwrap, the target will be handled by a ui setting, but the dicks are included to save you the hassle of manually setting it for now)

Materials:

Skin:

How does the skin shader feel? Are the customization options clear and intuitive? Do you feel like any parts are missing/bad?

Are the new features added well? (Cellulite marks, Sweat/water drops, Runny Mascara)

Main Outfits:

Are micro details (only included skin with them is overwatch 2) implementation good now?

Would you feel any benefit to adding features like; metal scuffing, edge wear, dirt, hue shifts, custom texture layers (emission, metal, colour.)?

Hair:

Does the added bump lines improve or degrade the hair? If improve, should it be stronger or weaker? Should they be made slightly wavy instead of straight?
