Dev Update: ReConnect 0.7 + New Story + AI Character Chat Updates + Payment Options + More Realistic Art Style?

Before diving into the update, I wanted to run something by you. I've been toying with the idea of writing a story using a more realistic ai generated character style — characters who look like actual people instead of the usual art style you're used to from me. Nothing's set in stone yet, it's just an idea I'm exploring, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

I'll probably put up a poll in the near future so you guys can weigh in properly, but for now feel free to drop your initial reactions in the comments.

Anyway, onto the update!

I'm currently hard at work on Re:Connect 0.7! This update will be a direct continuation of the stories for

Jinx (Chapter 6)

Freya (Chapter 3).

I'm also incredibly excited to introduce a brand new storyline called "On Call," which is going to be a major route in the game.

I can't reveal a lot yet but—there are atleast two male characters involved who will remain a secret for now... I can however introduce you to three of the girls:

Cara (The Main Girl) She's an ER nurse who works irregular on-call shifts. She just got a pay raise, has a slightly nicer apartment than the MC, and owns a cat named Fig who mostly ignores the MC.

Bea Bea is Cara's best friend and her hair and nail stylist. She is also a friend of the MC and. She acts as neutral ground and is the kind of person who gets along with everyone.

Tiffany Cara's friend and colleague at the hospital. She and the MC don't really click, but she keeps things polite.... for now

Unfortunately, due to some personal obligations, the 0.7 update won't be coming out this upcoming weekend. It will be pushed to the weekend after. Thank you for your patience!

AI Character Website Updates

In other news, I'm rolling out some big updates for the AI character chat website! Starting July 1st, the message and image limits are changing. The great news is that the website is now also accessible to the Micro Bubble tier! The character tier gates have been adjusted as well, which you can see here:

There's also an important update to the relationship level system on the site! As you might know, Jinx already had a leveling feature where the conversation and the images she sends get gradually spicier the higher your level. Now, reaching those higher levels with her will also grant you extra special image unlocks! For Cara, I've added a leveling system too, but it works a bit differently: her levels are strictly tied to unlocking these extra special images, and won't change the spiciness of the roleplay itself.

Also, during the first week of July, I will be adding crypto payments to the site. Because of the strictly NSFW nature of the website, crypto was currently the only viable option for processing payments. I totally understand that this isn't for everyone, but unfortunately, it is what it is for now.
