It doesn't happen often enough, so I wanted to write something just telling you guys thanks. This one's going to be subscriber-only. This is fairly random and just some thoughts of mine.
After the big gap between Ch5 Part 1 & 2... we lost quite a few supporters and I was pretty sad about it. The worst part was that I knew deep down it was deserved... and regardless of my personal circumstances, my fault entirely.
I wasn't confident that the vast majority of you would return, but here we are. So to the returners (and of course to the new faces too), I just wanted to say thanks!
Being frank for a moment: something that stings quite a bit is the knowledge of "ex-players," aka, people who once enjoyed Radiant... but due to their annoyance or dislike for me personally, or a lack of trust, they are no longer able to play or like the game. This sucks hard. Radiant is first and foremost a passion project of mine, it's something I love creating, talking about, bringing to life, and sharing with others. When I sign on Patreon, I'm not looking at the $ amount. It helps, and it's nice... but what I always look at first is our member count. It brings me a sense of pride to be able to say, "1,000 people like this game enough to give us their support, to listen to me rambling via devlogs, to see our wallpapers and hear the game's music, and get the download the moment it's ready."
When we lose people and that number drops down, it doesn't feel good (though, I also know it's not always because people aren't happy-I think one of the great things about a platform like Patreon is that subs can come and go as they please and that's okay!).
I hope that by delivering consistent updates, we can get that number even higher. I do not mean this in selfish way, but I'd love to see the number of subscribers grow, to push ourselves and see how far we can get! We've yet to hit 2,000 but I am confident we can do it. Radiant is... I created it to be the ultimate adult fantasy/harem game. Harem is popular, many of the other fetishes our game focuses on are popular, the girls are adorable... so yeah... the potential is endless and I'm looking forward to seeing what new heights we can achieve.
Anyways, I'm rambling now... but I really just wanted to say THANK YOU. Those who stuck around, those who returned, and the new faces as well. I also wanted to say that if you ever, at any point, lost trust or felt what I described above; if something I did lessened or took away your enjoyment of the game... I apologize. Your continued support and renewed trust will not be misplaced, you have my word. All of you are amazing, and I love you guys!
