DESCRIPTION

Rendering is going smoothly, and the rigs are rendering 24/7, only interrupted by me stopping them every once in a while to add renders to the queue.

I also did some RAM shopping this week, since the prices are going through the roof at the moment. I'm transitioning from DDR4 to DDR5, so I have a lot of DDR4 laying around, but I didn't have any backup DDR5. But at least that's taken care of now.

I know there are motherboards that support both, but they are hard to get a hold of here.

The output for the week is 177 story renders and 906 animated frames. Episode 5 totals so far are 1,095 story renders and 5,342 frames. Comparing that to the Episode 4 totals of 3,9K/31K, it's still a lot of work to do. But I've planned the Episodes so that not every release is bigger than the last. Episode 5 will not exceed 4 in size.

The animation-heavy parts are, of course, the bottleneck in development time, and on average, a 'scene' takes two full weeks to render. That is all the story renders connected to it and 20ish animations.

But I'm posing a lot of animations now, so my computers won't idle over the holidays.

All in all, a good week, and here's to a good weekend to you all as well.

P.S.: I read somewhere that someone was a bit frustrated that I introduced a new blonde-haired girl in ep4 while not giving you enough time with her. Ironically, this was the scene I was working on when I read that.
