As you guys may have seen, I'm currently working on the first draft of a manuscript for a furry noir novel, and I've been publishing the chapters on here. Well, I was inspired to do some character art for the novel as well, so here's the first of hopefully a few of these pieces, depicting out protagonist, Dominic Barkley.I saw some cool art recently and it inspired me to depart from my usual style and do something with simple shapes and colors, and stark contrasts. I think I really managed to pull it off well. Most of the line-art was done during today's live stream, so go check that out if you're curious for a behind the scenes thingy.
I'm planning for every character to have their own dominant color, but since the novel is in the noir genre, I figured it was only appropriate to also include a black and white version.
