SO. I know I really need to work on Will of Shar and Aurore, but I saw some Shadowheart macro pics from Kyoko and felt that I HAD to dive into caustic highlights and makeup displacement. I think having both these things figured out will help me with almost every project going forward and so I spent some time doing this alt with that in mind
Her makeup tweaks are very subtle, but I do feel it's noticeable and adds a little extra something. I'm excited to fine tune it on other stuff like Aurore. Diving back into the shaders so deeply also led me to redo Shadowheart's SSS values and I think I've landed on some excellent settings
Re the caustic lighting, I didn't get the exact effect I was going for, but landed on something I felt worked better for the scene. I learned a lot and will continue to play with adding it in interesting ways. I can foresee using the effect heavily for Will of Shar, especially in the Cloister scenes
After that, I tried something different with the eye-lights thru light linking and shaping. Very happy with that progress and I have a ton of ideas with how to use these to better sell the vibes I want to get across
