Grace (Blender) - Some friends and I were talking about RE9 and Gideon and the conversation found its way to the end sequence of Silence of the Lambs where Buffalo Bill stalks Clarice and so here we are. I grabbed a ref shot from the movie to recreate the set, then lit everything green and made a goggle cutout. The rest of the effect was done in post. Scanlines, halation, bloom, bam. Grace was and still is everywhere so I thought maybe I'd try and do something nostalgic to fit into a different niche. I should've gone farther with it in hindsight, but Jill took my attention awayJill (Blender) - With Mokujin releasing his new Jill model, I set out wanting to make something I haven't done before, mostly focused on sound design. Her waking from a nightmare where she never escaped Wesker's control felt like a natural fit. MH's model had a ton of options that made this much easier to accomplish. Outfits, mats, hairs, physics setups, etc. I built two different sets and made two different lighting setups to convey the moods. I'm pretty happy with how it turned outMinthara (Daz/Blender) - I've been meaning to do more with Minthara for a while now. The concept was her ending up with a Drow Durge and finding herself getting used to suddenly being a bottom. The scene is built and rendered in Daz, but I sculpted fixes in Blender and created the fluids there as well. Out of everything, I'm most satisfied with her pose. Fires neuronsLae'zel (Daz) - I'm (SO SLOWLY) getting thru an honor mode run where I'm romancing Lae'zel. I finally reached the sunrise scene for the first time and couldn't resist making something with her after watching it. Bae'zel. Fr. Anyways, I like her and Shads pairing up for interesting scenarios and thought some Charm Play could be fun to try and convey. Almost all the VFX are in the scene itself, but I did add a few extra touches in post. You'll also notice that instead of a gobo, I lit thru an actual tree model. Final thought, I like Shadowheart's lil capeJaheira (Daz) - This was tougher than I thought it would be. I had to redo all her textures and getting the proper 'aged' touches wasn't something I'd done before, obviously. Her in-game hair also refused to behave so I found a substitute that, while still not perfect, works better. I am resolved to use her for something again bc damn that was a lot of work for a foolspost. I might also relight this scene to show more of the full pose and rear angle bc I like how it turned out.
