The definitive version of our Warmage class has finally been updated to the 2024 version of the rules!
Warmages wield cantrips as swiftly and efficiently as a fighter wields weapons. It’s no accident they’ve claimed the names of chess pieces for themselves. Chess is a game of strategy, where greater pieces trump lesser ones, and everything is done in service to victory. Logic alone dictates the winner, just as it does with magic.
The Complete Warmage offers one of the most customizable, easy to pick up spellcasters out there. Pick your cantrips, and enhance them with Warmage Tricks. Choose your House—either one themed on chess pieces, like the House of Kings or House of Knights, or one based on gambling, like the House of Cards, House of Roulette, or House of Darts. This class is playable with only the 2024 Free Rules and the Complete Warmage PDF, so there’s no need to juggle books just to find your cantrips.

So what's different with the 2024 version of the class? There's a lot of quality of life updates to the class, but here're the major takeaways:
New Feature: Reliable Cantrip means you always deal damage with your cantrips, even if you miss.
Level 1 has been buffed: Warmage Edge comes online earlier and Arcane Initiation has been buffed
New level 20 capstone feature!
The Tricks list is all killer, no filler. A few tricks have been trimmed; better ones have taken their place. We aimed to have fewer needless prerequisites across the list and better options throughout.
Reworked subclasses! House of Knights and House of Pawns saw the biggest changes, but look closely and you'll find lots of improvements across the lineup.
Reworked cantrips! The Blade cantrips lineup is all-new, allowing you to use Intelligence for attacks and damage (no more weird split ability score builds!)
