The Subclasses chapter in Dark Matter's 2024 revision comes with 39 subclasses. This month, we're showing off the first 20 subclasses, and we'll finish the chapter next month!
Some of the subclasses in this lineup, like the Path of the Dreadnought Barbarian and the Warrior of Gravity Monk have been entirely overhauled to match the power of 2024 and to strengthen their themes. Now, the Path of the Dreadnought is basically Doomguy, for example!
Every base D&D class, like the Fighter and Bard, comes with two subclasses. So the Space Marine Fighter is joined by the Construct-graft-focused Cybernetic Fighter, and the Druid gets the brand-new Circle of Xenobiology.
And every Mage Hand Press class has at least one subclass. The original publication of Dark Matter predates classes like the Investigator and the Martyr, all of which now have a place in Dark Matter!

We've replaced the Cyber Domain cleric with Machine Domain. This new subclass fits better with expectations and the theme/mechanics of Cyber Domain have been moved to the Digital Nomad vagabond.
