The hounds are extremely well coordinated. Being able to predict each other with unerring teamwork as if their actions are choreographed. Within Aegis' defensive aura, it just makes it an even fight.
For long time western comic fans, this 24 panel layout might be familiar. It's from Grendel vs Batman and it says so much for such a small sequence. It took forever to draw.
