Happy Wednesday everyone! For this week's one-off I've got another character that hasn't had a spotlight in a bit: Mona!
In this scene it's been a couple years since the swim meet we saw her win. That wasn't the last competition she's been in, they had been getting harder and harder as the days went by. Not terribly long after the victory we witnessed, she threw in the towel and decided that her future lie in a desk job. Of course, while she had started her carbo-load meals as a means of keeping up her energy, she found comfort in them as a means of remembering the days she used to be an athlete. The excessive amount of calories she packs in no longer gets burned off by physical activity however, and she's found that her stomach has been deflating less and less after each of those meals. Maybe she'll get back to being thin one of these days... but from her perspective, that'll only happen when food stops being delicious.
