Patreon and standalone Ennuicastr

DESCRIPTION

If you've been following in the Craig support server, you know that I've started a closed beta of a standalone Ennuicastr. It's based in concept, and to a lesser degree in software, on Craig, and certainly grew out of the Craig project, but is totally independent from Craig. Ennuicastr will not be free to use as Craig is, because the burden of actually being the voice chat server rather than piggy-backing on Discord is not inconsiderable. Please note that none of this applies to the EnnuiCastr webapp integrated into Craig, only to the new, standalone Ennuicastr at https://ecastr.com/ . Yes, I've respelled, or at least recapitalized, Ennuicastr.

One question that's come up is Craig patrons' use of Ennuicastr. While your patronage is for Craig, which remains an independent project from Ennuicastr, many of you would probably be interested in the new service, or indeed in both services. Plus, your support has helped me to have the resources to build this software, both within Craig (:craig:, ennuicastr on) and independently.

My current plan is this: After Ennuicastr is out of closed beta (so, not now, no need to take any immediate action!), I will offer current Craig patrons a free subscription to Ennuicastr as long as they remain Craig patrons. Patrons at the $4 level will be offered high-quality subscriptions (currently priced at $10/mo), and patrons at the $8 level will be offered ultra-high-quality subscriptions (currently priced at $15/mo). I can't reasonably offer these to future Craig patrons, but am happy to offer them to current Craig patrons, who have helped to get the ball rolling.

That currently stands as a plan, not a promise. If you feel there's a better or more fair approach, please comment here. Thanks!
