June update!

Hello, greetings, and all that jazz. I'm very excited to be sharing with you all this month.

There's been a fair bit of discourse over the years about Shauna. Should she get a route? What would that route be like? etc. etc. I thought it might be fun to share the high level concept that we've settled on for her story. Don't worry though. It's not a fixer-upper story. More of a "nudge her in one direction or the other and hope for the best" kind of story.

Her parents were a male and a female. She and her father were very close. He was an avid birdwatcher, and would often take her with him. It was something they bonded over. But when she was very young, a cruel futa manipulated her way into the family. She drove Shauna's mother to suicide, and Shauna had to then watch her father be completely destroyed. Her father passed when she was still very young, leaving her in the care of the futa that destroyed her family.

She grew up watching her repeat her pattern of isolating males from their loved ones and then claiming them only to break and discard them. Her own behavior pattern is a mixture of repeating what she was shown and trying to recapture some aspect of her father's love. She's very stunted. Even her love of birds is mixed up in the lessons that the futa taught her.

The major difference between her and the futa that effectively made her is that she doesn't intend to discard us in her endings. Whether she thoroughly breaks him or begins down the road to some version of mental stability will be up to the player.

Hopefully this resonates with both the "I can save her" and the "Fuck me up fam" crowds. :) Also, please let me know if this is the kind of content you find interesting so I know what to share, etc.

As for this month's art update we see two sides of Reneé. I have said it before, she does not and will not love you, so don't worry. But even the hardest shell cracks a little when someone has had a particularly challenging day and is very, very drunk. It is, as they say, lonely at the top.

And this one I'm super excited about! It may not look like much, but I'm going to try my damnedest to animate her boner rising up to greet you all using the in-engine transformation language, like I did with the Gretchen minigame.

Alrighty! That brings us to the end of this month's update. Next month we'll be featuring some WIP of a new character or two from the route, as well as an old favorite. (hint: It's Renata)
