Hello Adventurers!

A belated happy New Year to you all! I have taken a small break from overseeing the developer kobold pits to have a chat about what we are up to!

Module News

DDB Importer now supports importing character options (Classes, Feats, Species, Backgrounds) and is mostly rounded out, the big remaining options are features granting spells (this is coming soon), and the optional features from Tasha’s.

This is available to everyone on Undying or God tier, so give it a whirl!

The Pathmuncher module for Pathfinder 2e has now been updated for the newly released Starfinder 2e system.

The Tokenizer module now has some quick buttons for applying dynamic token rings and Shadowdark style art/line art style to images.

Coming up

D&D Beyond recently published an upcoming Partnered Content Roadmap so I will be taking time to integrate these.

I have been tinkering on and off since the release of version 13 with updating Tokenizer to use the new Application framework, along with a bit of a UI overhaul. This hasn’t yet borne fruit, and is more of long term goal for this year.

At some point this spring we will see the release of Foundry v14. This has some pretty impactful features in it - native multi-level scenes, the ability for effects to natively change token properties, the ability for scene regions to be attached to tokens (Active Auras is unlikely to see a v14 version).

Look out for a community poll in the next few days where I will be asking what improvements you think I should be working on.

Book stuff

I got a book called Dungeon Crawler Carl for Christmas. It follows Carl, a guy who’s caught in the destruction of the world and is placed into an intergalactic game show that is like a dungeon crawling game. His only companion is his ex’s show cat, and he doens't have any trousers or shoes, and the AI that runs the world seems to have a foot fetish... It’s... hard to explain how good this series is. Strongly recommended!

Community Highlights

I want to highlight a couple of fellow creators today. The first is Gambit. He is a long time contributor to various automation bits, and the maintainer of the popular FXMaster module.

He’s recently started publishing some premium modules, including a premium expansion to the FXMaster called FXMaster+.

The other creator is Carolingian who writes the wonderful smooth Carolingian UI and Swipe  VTT for tablets/mobile players. In addition they have recently added DDB support to their Flash Token Bar 5e module that will show rolls from DDB inside foundry. It integrates well with DDB and other automation modules such as midi-qol. DDB integration is available to their patreon supporters.

Have you played Pendragon? It's set in King Arthur's Britan and is a very differnt game to 5e, with characters pulled by their virtues and flaws, combat is deadly, and games often span generations. Chasoium have just released some modules for it. Glass cannon have a fantastic mini series if you want to find out more.

Signoff

That's all for now folks, once again thank you for your support, and stay safe out there, trouble be brewing and the next few years are going to be far to interesting.
