Hello Beta Squad!
Today I'm pleased to release an early version of Tokenizer 2.
The aim of this period is to gather feedback, squash bugs and ensure it's meeting it's aims. There is an overview at https://docs.ddb.mrprimate.co.uk/docs/tokenizer-2/overview
The module uses the same concepts as the original Tokenizer but tries to display them in a more logical and useful way.
These are the core concepts:
Layers consisting of different images, token rings, backgrounds etc. Each layer can be edited individually.
Rings or Frames. These are a special kind of layer that typically provides a mask to cut out the other layers.
Masks. These layers are not visible, and are sometimes generated from other layers. They can be thought off as a way of cutting out parts of another layer so only the cut out bits show through. Multiple masks can be applied to each layer.
Tokenizer 2 tries to make it easier to undo and redo changes when editing, provides a basic suite of image editing tools, and has better support for Foundry's Dynamic Tokens. It also allows for "Oversized" tokens, which are where tokens go beyond their normal boundary.
If you have any suggestions or bugs you can pop them in the comments below, or ideally in Discord with screenshots and recordings of issues you encounter.
A tutorial video is in the works, but these things take time.
You can install the manifest using the following URL: https://artifacts.ddb.mrprimate.co.uk/tokenizer/7fgh734/module.json
Please don't share this with others, the module will be available to all in early May.
Have fun!
