DESCRIPTION
The thumbpicking song is considered to be a beginner-friendly tune, but I think it is also the perfect stepping stone into more technical tunes. Tommy plays this one at lightning speed, but that shouldn't be your main goal if some of these techniques are new to you. Master them carefully and slowly, and you'll be laying the foundation for much more challenging songs (like Cannonball Rag or Blue Smoke).
