First of all, if you aren't in the slack, you are welcome there. Here is the invite link.
Second, I (Elecia) am using the #book-club channel to go through Data Driven Science & Engineering which covers signal processing, machine learning, and controls system as data science problems.
I'm going all out, with weekly live meeting (Friday 11am PT starting June 20). I've engaged a math professor to go through the book with us as there is a lot of fancy math.* If you've never had linear algebra or differential equations, she'll give you resources. If you had them a long time ago, she'll give you shortcuts to remember stuff. I hope. Or she may just laugh at us and tell us about her cats. You never know with math profs.
Here is the organization document. I'll take notes there on discussion days. And I'll set up the next week for reading and optional videos to watch. That said, you are welcome to discuss on Slack #book-club as usual.
*I told her that I remembered eigenvalues only so much as "Beer and tootsie rolls are the eigenvalues of the digestive system" she nearly choked laughing at me.
