Hello Patrons!
You know I always like to be totally honest with you, well the Patreon has kindof been on a slow downward trajectory for a while and we've now reached a point where it's not 'imminent danger' but 'orange warning light.' Like, we'll be fine, the show's fine, but it's made me wonder what I can do to maybe revamp the Patreon a bit! So, are there any changes you'd like to see or insights you can offer me?
The most common reason for cancelling pledges is 'My Financial Situation Changed,' which, fair - not much I can really do about that! But maybe you can offer me some advice?
Here are some specific questions I have:
Some people move their pledges up sometimes; if you have, would you mind telling me what prompted you to do that?
If you're a free member, is there anything that could persuade you to pledge?
What made you sign up to the Philosophy Tube Patreon? What do you think might get someone else to sign up if they haven't already?
Would you ever share a creator's Patreon on your own socials, or with friends? Would you ever share this one?
Are there any new tiers or restructuring of tiers you'd like to see?
I feel like the $40 tier, where people get to ask me a question and I'll answer it on livestream, is a bit redundant since I answer questions pretty regularly through other platforms like Tumblr? Do you agree? $40 patrons, is there something else you'd prefer?
The highest tier includes a guide to creating a YouTube channel, but I feel like not many people actually make use of that. Top tier patrons, do you agree? Is there something else that could be a good reward for the highest tier?
All the best,
