Hey everyone. Thank you for the patience and support. I'm on my way back, and I'm here with a project I'm really proud of.
Recently, with the announcement of Life is Strange: Reunion, I've been getting nostalgic for the first game. I only ever played through it twice, because it is very heavy-hitting emotionally. But I'm gonna be returning to it for the first time in over a decade. As such, I thought about my best girl Chloe. And her tattoos.
I think there's a KS UV version on Nexus, but it's only for Fem V and doesn't cover the other body mods/frameworks.
Alot of work went into this mod. After finding a HQ png of the tattoo, I manually cleaned up all the pixelation on the texture, filling in gaps. It was basically upscaled by me. By hand. In Procreate. It needed upscaling because LIS 1 is over a decade old and graphically has started to age despite how much I'll always love the art style. I made it for KS UV first, then texture baked to VTK and Gymfiend.
This is because KS UV has the arms and hands attached on their UV maps, but they are seperated on VTK and Gymfiend.
There are a few versions of Chloe's tattoo:
Concept Art Version.
(As it says, it's based on some of Chloe's concept art, where there are more butterflies; and those butterflies spread across the neck and body)
OG Arm Version.
(As it says, it's the OG version you see on Chloe in-game)
Concept Art Version Flipped.
(As it says, it's the flipped/left arm version of the Concept Art version of the mod)
OG Arm Version Flipped.
(As it says, it's the flipped/left arm version of the OG Arm version of the mod)
They are also available in several different opacity/saturation levels. For context, 85% is the opacity I use for all my tattoo mods. It has some transparency and thus looks more realistic when put onto V's body.
Here's a look at the varying Opacity Levels on different skin tones:
Hopefully this gives you guys a decent idea of how it'll look on your V. Of course, the 75% and 85% Opacity versions will look different depending on custom skin tones and skin texture mods. For anyone interested, my mod page photos were taken with the 85% opacity versions, and using Arkhe0 (Check them out on Nexus) skin tones and skin texture mods. I have a V with a custom head, but run on VTK and use the EVB body mod by Hyst.
Highly reccomend all of those, especially if you have a PC with a strong graphics card.
Here are some Installation Instructions:
1) Download the right Zip File for your V and their chosen Body Mod/Framework.
2) Extract the contents to somewhere on your Desktop/PC.
3) Head into the extracted folder. You will see 4 sub-folders.
4) Go into ONE of those sub-folders and grab the tattoo .archive file you want.
For VTK and Gymfiend, the arms are seperate to the body, and so you can use Left Arm and Right Arm tattoos interchangeably. So you guys can use two versions of the mod if you want. Only with the arm versions though. You can't have 2 head tattoos on at the same time. If you guys want the ability to have the Concept Art version on both arms, both sides of the body and both sides of the neck, I can explore that in a future update. If you guys want any of that for KS UV, I can potentially work something out.
5) Put your chosen .archive file or files in your mod folder. On Steam, the file path is as follows:
steam - steamapps - common - Cyberpunk 2077 - archive - pc - mod
(You want the file/files to go in the MOD folder at the end of that file path)
6) Load up your game, and head into the Character Creator.
7) The tattoo will automatically appear on your V.
That about does it! I tested every file for Both Vs and all body mods before release, in a mod folder that has just over 1,000 mod files. It all worked fine for me, so if you have issues it's going to be a Mod Conflict or Installation Error on your end.
For VTK/Hyst Users: You need the VTK HD Head from the VTK mod page, if you want to use either of the Concept Art versions.
For Gymfiend Users: You need the 'MV Head VTK' file from the Gymfiend mod page, if you want to use either of the Concept Art versions.
And there we go! Hope you all enjoy the mod, and that you like the screenshots I've taken for this mod page. I will also be uploading this mod to Nexus. If anyone wants to know mods I used in the photos, the tank top is a vanilla shirt. The trousers are a Rogue's Pants mod by Anrui on Nexus. The necklace is River's Necklace by raemaze on Nexus. And as mentioned, my V's head/face are custom. I simply removed her piercings for the purposes of the mod shoot.
Thank you all for the support! I'll be back soon with more Public mods and Supporter Rewards. Also, yes...I choose Sacrifice Chloe as my ending. I love her, but I can't justify an entire town being devastated. Same reasons I do Don't Fear The Reaper with my main V; don't want anyone being dragged down with them.
Take care of yourselves, and remember to join the Discord if you haven't already; link is in the pinned post on my main Patreon page.
