Hey folks. Sorry it's been a few days again. It's been wild as per usual but things seem to be calm. For now. Hopefully I haven't just jinxed myself.
The Internet was actually fixed the day after the issue, but where I am in Southwest England had the most fucking insane heatwave last week. For 4-5 days we were experiencing the WORST temperatures we've ever seen. In fucking JUNE!!! Not August. June!!! I am not kidding when I say this week was HELL. Our homes and infrastructure are geared to keeping heat IN. Our homes aren't built to accomodate AC and getting that installed costs a fortune over here. Schools and businesses were shutting down. We've heard of people's pets genuinely not surviving even with owners doing everything they could to keep them cool. People died from the heat and also from drowning in an attempt to escape said heat.
Multiple people are having their appliances break down. Our beast of a freezer packed up and we almost lost a tonne of food.
Legitimately, I did not feel safe booting up my PC. There just wasn't even any air. No breeze. Just insane humidity and temperatures getting up to 37 or 38 degrees Celsius. Across the sea in France they were getting temps in excess of 40 degrees!!! I have been feeling hella sick and lethargic. Worried sick for my pets despite doing everything I could. (They are fine thankfully. We set up a pool in the garden, bought extra fans, froze water to put in their water bowls and even froze treats...everything we could possibly do) And also just didn't sleep for more than like 6 hours across 4 days. I was constantly on the verge of throwing up and kept feeling like I was going to pass out. I was extremely worried for my parents and my elderly relatives.
Yeah, we had a slice of hell last week.
But despite the fact we will apparently get another heatwave soon, temperatures have cooled back down now and I can finally use my new PC. Avery's gameplay, clothing and hair mods are installed. It's all running extremely smooth on my new PC and I am happy with that so far. Later today I am going to install pose and expression mods. With those done, I can take pics for the last remaining mods I prepped for my Hiatus. And the Hiatus will start after that; I'll keep Billing paused until my replay is done!
So there's more stuff to look forward to.
