As voted for, here is the first chapter of the month: more Serpent’s Garden. The chance to cripple the hive before it launches has failed, and now all our hopes lie on the Calnian fleet intercepting it. All logic and experience says that should be a relatively easy and one-sided affair. The Meer-Ulson have spent decades on a planetary prison, all traces of advanced technology being systematically eradicated. They might have built this hive in the worst possible location, but what else could they have been doing in that time?
