Hey y'all! If you folks were wondering if there were some additional ways you could help me out, this is a great way! I recently turned on Community Contributions, which means regular viewers like you can help close-caption or translate my videos! And really, you're not just helping me! Who you're really helping the most is my hard-of-hearing fans, who have made a bunch of comments over the years wishing that my non-subtitled LPs had closed captioning. :( It was just unfeasible for me to do it all on my own (too many dang videos, not enough time!), and I thought if I let strangers do it, there'd be a decent chance of someone just writing a ton of awful slurs in there, but it turns out this whole thing is moderated! Nice!So yeah, if you happen to have a few hours of free time and wanted to generously donate that free time to this task, click here to see what videos need closed captioning! I would prefer my Let's Plays get captioned before my streams, but I definitely won't complain if you happen to have a favorite stream that you think desperately needs subs ;) By the way, I will credit all those who contribute to the closed captioning in the description if you tell me who you are! Style Guide/PreferencesThe CC of the first episode of Silent Hill 2's Nerd Commentary is a great example. Really, even that screenshot up at the top of this page sums it up! Line breaks for each speaker, [brackets] used to indicate inflection or other noises, good punctuation, and an upper limit of 4 lines per sub. Additionally, as seen in the CC for the intro video of the Oogie's Revenge LP, I am cool with using emoji if it is done in a funny way, to emphasize the speaker's joke or inflection! And if there's any music that needs to be subbed, please use [♪♪] to indicate the start and end of a musical part [♪♪].Thanks to any and all who might consider helping out in this way! You're great! <3
