I hate it too, y'all :( I was hoping to get this shit started Monday, but that's not gonna happen, turns out.Polite, Vague, Unsatisfying Explanation: Some commentary files were lost and are unrecoverable now, unfortunately.Blunt, Frustrated, Bitching Explanation: Bob and I did commentary for the first two episodes with Jeremy Blaustein (the cutscene/VO director of SH3) as a guest. Cool, donezo, right? NOPE cuz I'm DUMB. So we usually exchange audio files with a website called WeTransfer. Forgetting that the free version of WeTransfer has a strict time limit to download the files, I didn't download them in a timely manner (got distracted by work and streams and other stuff) and 1/3rd of the audio tracks were lost. All of Blaustein's. So uh, whatever, not a big deal, he can just reupload the files, right? NOPE, he deleted them. Because of course he did. Well, you can recover deleted files with certain apps, so not all hope is lost, right? Wrong, cuz Blaustein's in his 50s and we all know that once you turn 40, you just can't use computers anymore if something takes more than 2 clicks. It's an unfortunate biological quirk of mankind, apparently. So yeah, he downloaded a file recovery app (only because Bob linked him to the exact one he needed for his OS) and then just GAVE UP THERE saying, literally: "I down;oaded the software but don't want to get into that whole bizness." oh cool great thanks buddy. Wow that all sucks, guess you gotta redo the commentary. Yes, but Bob's extremely, absurdly busy at his job right now, and I'm lucky I even got him to record those first two episodes to begin with (and I almost convinced him to not record then because he sounded really really tired and kinda sick, too lol). Gotta wait a few weeks for his work to die down. Why not do commentary with Chip in the meanwhile? He's also VERY busy and... he's not a huge Silent Hill nerd :( I don't really wanna subject him to this stuff he's only mildly interested in, and he doesn't have the expertise and insights that Bob's got! It's just not the same!This is basically everyone's fault but Bob's. Only he is free from sin, lol.So yeah, that sucks, sorry for the delay :( That'll teach me to tentatively announce anything that isn't 110% done. As if recording and editing and subtitling the entire LP ahead of time wasn't enough!! x__x UGH
