DESCRIPTION
We’re offering one lucky Time Team Patreon member (plus a guest) the chance to visit Butser Ancient Farm on Saturday 27th June 2026 for a unique Anglo-Saxon smithing experience with Joe and Tom from The Saxon Smiths.
The selected participant will spend the day immersed in the world of experimental archaeology and ancient craft, before taking part in a hands-on 1 on 1 forging experience creating a small item to take away under the guidance of Joe and Tom themselves.
Alongside the experience, there will also be specialist talks, living history demonstrations and the opportunity to explore the wider Saxon reconstruction work taking place on site.
