Hello beautiful folks, quick and easy today. On the Unbroken front just plugging away at script so nothing cute to really show off yet.
As I promised last week I'm going to post a few renders from Author Definitive just to give you something a little more visually stimulating.
So here's a little look at the very first scene.
Crazy what a difference the time makes, it's marginally better I would say, a whole 10% even, if I may be so bold.
The club scene
Wait... the club has... holy shit patrons?! While billboards have been used traditionally there's only so many you can use, unless you make your own which can be rather time consuming. But thanks to the magic of Blender I can generate actual 3D crowds. And they barely add to render times! Though they're relatively low poly and wouldn't hold up under close examination, with careful camera work and DOF it does it's job.
Lyndie actually has a custom apartment now, not just a default asset. The new one one sort of captures the more "I'm a twenty something artist in Los Angeles" vibe I was hoping to go for, you can't see the ground, but I assure you there's paint brushes, and discarded scrap paper scattered about. I think it gives that more cluttered feel to the scatterbrained artist that is our Lyndie.
Unfortunately for her, I didn't give her more of an ass, she shall forever remain flat assed. It's a canon event that can't be changed.
Anyway I think I've yapped at you enough. We'll be returning to our usual Unbroken chatting next time, just wanted to do something a little different since the Unbroken rendering hasn't started yet, and these renders have just sort of been sitting collecting dust since 2024.
