Had a render I was working on for today, but it... did not turn out so well. So winging it here on our BTS this week.
So as mentioned in our check in, this week was mostly the same writing and general back end stuff of the early cycle. After conquering the scenes I discussed in our first BTS of the cycle I moved to the scene immediately after it, and found it was pretty easy to finish up, didn't take as long, mostly because it didn't have as many potential variances. When I finished that up I decided to try something I don't usually do. Normally when writing I try to stay as close to chronological order as possible because it's easier for me when art starts, but for my future sanity I'm changing my work flow for the next few days to a scene damn near the very end of the update, so I jumped from early chapter to the end chapter. Not what I usually like to do, but I've had this particular scene bouncing in my head since part six and excited to get it on paper. Also like the intro scenes it has six or seven ways it can play out so I'm going to vanquish it early.
Besides that I was testing out some different new clothing assets, making sure they looked decent in a full render. When testing things like hair and clothes, I like to knock out batches of renders to see how they look in different position, how light can change their appearance ect. I usually do this by rendering the outfits out on Els and Ines. I use those two because I know if the outfit can fit the prodigious chest of Els properly, and the wide hips and massive ass of Ines, then they can fit any of my other characters. Most of the time this works out well, but sometimes the result is less savory. I have an entire folder of some of the horrifying eldritch things that I've managed to accidentally create over the years. I might start sharing them on occasion just for a bit of fun. While I don't have anything worth sharing from this week, here's some Amrit hair tests I did for fun back during the last update cycle. I don't think I've shared these before, apologies if I did.
So no super amazing insights this week, but consistency is important and all that. No BTS next week because we'll be doing our monthly art stream during the weekend, I haven't decided on Sat or Sunday yet, but I will for our weekly check in on Monday.
Thank you as always for the support and I hope you have a lovely upcoming week.
