Unfortunately this was a really tough month for work, I spent it catching up on owed stuff and then a good amount of it very sick with flu (i'm typing this out still dealing with post viral issues, my ears are plugged with congestion) I was only able to complete 5 requests this month. I'm hoping I can treat this month as a break/reset and get in a better spot
I want to draw more art in general, I want to draw more sketches and doodles, I think not making art like that makes 'work' art a lot more daunting. I will complete October requests as usual, not push myself but do a good amount, but maybe I'll give myself another month coming up as a break to catch up on other things (I'll give a heads up if so. MAYBE November.) Instead maybe I'll do extra bases or other things to make up for a month without requests (or maybe just a small amount like this time).
I had a moment where I realized I was making this amount of designs every month for years now! Not just Patreon but commissions/adopts/etc. I haven't had a month where I made so little, so I think in the end its okay :')
I want to regain my creativity again, I want to be able to make a large output of fun designs, and it's pretty impossible to do so without breaks. The fact i've done it This long with a long 'break' is insane. But I hope that makes sense. I need to let myself reset. But i'm also thankful that this Patreon, because it supports me regularly, should allow me to do so.
I will say I do LOVE making bases. I had so much fun drawing the owl faces for the last one. I'm so happy to be making Bases for this Patreon and getting to draw animals knowing it will be customized and reimagined by other people.
