And here's a little breakdown video from Hikari's Dilemma (Newgrounds / Vimeo / Youtube) showing the process going from the original comic page to the final animated shot.
If you look closely, you can see the difference between the raw puppet animation, the animation with corrective warping, and the final animation with the line jitter. Some of hte differences are pretty subtle, but they all add up to make the animation look as close to Traditional Animation as I can get it.
