So these past two weeks, I really didn't know what I wanted to draw for you guys. In all honesty, I wanted to take some time off, and maybe do one or two drawings. SO, I just started doodling and noodling out some Judys. Dressing her up a bit and imagining a story for her as I went.
You guys, I simply don't know how to restrain myself: I drew TOO many judys, started to pair her up with Nicks, formed a story in my head as I was going and then a second story ... it stopped being an illustration and started being a comic. Or at least, a as-fast as I can make it comic; two weeks to get something DONE.
A lot of the camera angles are the same - I repeated a lot of the poses, and kept things real simple. It all felt very paper-doll. Until I started to do the 'what happens next' parts. Those took way more time...
The TLDR: my doodles developed into another New Year's Party comic. I thought I'd time it perfectly and get you all this two-path story. But I might have been too ambitious.
Ok, so, context, what is the idea?
Judy and Nick are at another New Year's party, mingling (Heck, I might even use the same sketch-up model as last time, so it's the same Mayors' residence?) Judy suddenly get's a booty call text. EITHER from Owen, or RabbitSeason (this is the two differing paths). Disgruntled at being summoned, Nick reminds her how hot is, and encourages her to go.
What follows are videos sent to Nick. Fun, simple stuff.
Now, I'm not done; the Owen stuff needs more. Rabbit Season needs a 'I'm OK and happy' image, and I need to do a lead-in with Nick and Judy, heck, maybe even a Nick holding his phone image too 0_o There also stuff that keeps looking weird to me and I feel like I should re-draw: nicks face for example feels off some times... but it might be in my head, IDK. All together, it's a lot more work... and then I still need to flat it all, write something, and compile it into a page format.
It's more work than I'd pictured, and is gonna be maybe another week or two... SO maybe I'll poll the higher tiers and see if you want me to finish it now, or wait, and start work on the next page? I really don't mind either way =D This was fun to work on, but I'm equally excited to get to the next real chapter page, too.
