Meant to get this posted yesterday, but got pulled into helping a friend move into his new house across town.
Inks and Flats! Everything is going along pretty smoothly in these: I ultimately straightened out the camera angle to be straight-on, for the whapping scene (illustration in the middle). Originally, I had the angle a lot more top-down, so the legs looked small, with the heads looking larger. Buttttt it just didn't look the way I thought it would, as I inked it, it just looked like I'd goofed up the anatomy... SO, redrew the hips and legs several times to sort of level out the camera: I might still tweak Owens ' hip a bit? As it still looks a little too straight, as compared to his shoulders, which have an angle. But, IDK. Maybe I'm overthinking it! The faces and the 'whap' are what'll draw attention in that panel, so maybe I don't need to worry too much about the hip looking perfect.
Tried two different Owen faces; One with a sneer and the other with a grin, IDK which I prefer! A sneer is a little more predatory... Maybe that'll hit better? It was a fun thing to try out tho, I usually struggle with asymmetry.
Next week - shades and all the extras!

Spring is finnnnaly here, so I'm going to spend the weekend outside for the first time in 6 months. Excited to see the sun for a bit. Hope you all have a good weekend!
