Hello everyone, and happy New Release Monday! I'm excited for the 11th installment of my Lothburgh maps. Today, I am releasing "The Warrens", an old smugglers' den buried deep underground in New Ashes through the abandoned sewers and mine shafts dug centuries ago.

If you're not yet familiar with Lothburgh, this is a brand new campaign setting being created by Lunch Break Heroes, which will feature:

A fully realized urban adventure setting with six distinct boroughs

Blood of Blades, a complete level 1-12 campaign

New subclasses, feats, equipment, and character options

A host of original creatures and adversaries

Factions, companies, and adventure hooks woven throughout the city

Battlemaps featured by me, and an incredible city map hand-drawn by the talented UFOs and Games. Also featuring tons of commissioned artwork from various artists for NPCs, monster sub-classes, and cityscape art!

You can sign up for the pre-launch Kickstarter page to be notified when Lothburgh launches here.

The Warrens was an old smuggler's cave that has since been run over by creatures called "Gutter Ghouls," and all that remains are the ruins and ghosts of those slain here.

Throughout the adventure Blood of Blades, your party is on the run from the Clockwork Constables due to being framed and needs to find a new base of operations. Through some connections they've made, they have learned of a potential new place they can call their home...as long as they deal with the threats that lie within!

There are three core versions of this map:

Ruined (This is the adventure version)

Empty so you can add your own assets or repurpose this map for whatever you'd like

Restored. This is a lived-in version, once the base is claimed, and can act as a new bastion for your party

As your party finds their way to The Warrens, they must first navigate a series of ruined scaffoldings and old mining equipment, which could pose hazards and obstacles for them.

As they enter the main area, they can explore three different chambers before deciding how to navigate the cave-in on the northern wall.

These areas include:

The Old Barracks, where Carlotta's Smugglers would store their arms & armor.

The remains of the eating/kitchen area

The ruined sleeping quarters

Your party will find the northern chamber door completely blocked by a massive cave-in, which only the strongest of characters can clear.

Of course, perceptive players might spot a small crack in the wall to the northwest, which could lead to the back chamber that was once occupied by the smuggler leader.

Additionally, for my Grand Library and Foundry tiers, I've created the wooden scaffolding archways over the various chambers as an overlay so you can move tokens under it for even more immersion.

Whether you're gearing up to run Lothburgh once it's released, or planning on adding a new cave/dungeon map to your own campaigns, I'm sure you'll be able to find a good use for this map, such as a monster-infested ruin or a thieves' guild operating in the shadows!

That's a wrap for May! I hope you enjoyed the maps I created this month for your games. These maps included:

The Saltmarsh Graveyard. A place to honor those claimed by the sea

Van Richten's Tower. A (re) re-creation of this key location from the Curse of Strahd module

CoS Reloaded Guide: The Ravine. A nature map featuring a windy road and a steep ravine to one side.

Next month I have an exciting month planned, but before I dive into the new maps, I'll be taking the first week of June off since it is a five Monday month. As such, there will not be a map release for June 1st.

However, for the rest of the month, I am working on something a little different for you all. My first asset pack! More details later, but I hope it'll be a useful asset that you can all use on various maps. I have more CoS locations and Saltmarsh locations planned as well, which I can't wait to share with you all!

Thank you SO much for your continued support each month! I could not do any of this without YOU.

Cheers friends,

DM Andy
